View Full Version : what compressor recomended for painting?

hey everyone, curious to know what compressor you all use to paint full cars with? I want a nice compressor and i will be runing HVLP guns and am just getting ideas before I buy. any info, links, ideas, would be great! thanks

i seem to like this one so far for the price / build. not the best or worst imo. great customer service. i had to pay shipping and didn't get the current 'sale' price either. looks like your just the next state up, could be worth a drive i guess...

thanks, it works for me. be advised i don't have mid 60k in my car budget though, maybe if i include all my excuses to buy more tools i guess - dunno. :hmm:

I bought a Snapon 6hp 80 gal. Cost me $2000 but it puts out 27 cfm @ 90psi. I found I could get Ingersoll Rand or Campbell Hausefeld for about $900 but they only made 13-14 cfm. I basically got twice the air for twice the price. Two of us use it regularly and have yet to run it out of air. The price is about 6 years old.
