question on door solenoids

Anyone here shave there door handles? I have a 72 Chevelle and am in the process of installing the solenoids in the door, and was wondering if anyone has done this? I have an idea of where I'm going to mount them, but it looks like I'll have to use some type of pulley device to get them to pull the right way.
Just looking for pointers!

I mounted mine (72 Olds 442) straight back, running the cable through a piece of steel tubing to make sure it would clear the window mech. If you look, it will just clear, but it is close! I can try to take a few pics of it this weekend.
