Hello everyone, i live in pembroke pines which is right between miami and ft. lauderdale. I have been on this site for awhile but have never posted before, even though i do read many of the different threads so i can get as much information from so many of you who know know much more than i do. Anyway i have a 1980 z28 that i'm working on. In the process of putting together a 383. It'll be a slow process until my wife gets out of school, till then i'm taking care of 5 on one salary. Btw my name is Juan van der Kuyp, but i go by John. I don't speak spanish and it confuses the crap out of people down here when your name is Juan and you don't speak spanish.I will be asking for alot of advice i'm sure. Looking forward to getting to know all of you.Anyone also here in s .fl., i go to Tower shoppes on friday nights, maybe we can meet there and say hello.

I love 2nd gen Fbodys, I found a nice 1981 Z in Miami and I wish I had the funds to purchase it, do you have any pics of your car currently. I live about a minute from the Towers, I should come check it out sometime, get away from the grind of the books. What/where is your wife studying, I'm in med school at Nova.

How did you find the Z in miami, bargain trader? Mine is in ok shape right now, original paint and wheels, motor has some work done to it. It's fun going to Towers, cause most ricers have no clue what an 80 Z is, believe it or not. You should see the look on their faces when i pull away from them. My wife is in the R/N program at BCC.

It was on cars.com, I just searched for it again and found nothing, I think it was listed at 2900 and from the pictures looked pretty solid and mostly stock. It was at a carlot that was mostly newer cars.
