I picked the same wheels to go on my 68 Cougar this year!! I'm going to take the heat gun to the ghey red "Touge" decals however. LOL

Looking good so far ...

The wheels are from Motegi Racing, a sister company to American Racing. They are called "Touge", the ones pictured have the gunmetal finish spokes with polished lip. Same wheel as the American Racing "Chrome Rebel" and the new "Black Rebel", just different finish and different centre cap.

Mostly FWD and high-offset RWD sizes, but there are some big sizes available too. Motegi doesn't offer them with the GM bolt pattern (the only reason they have the 5 on 4.5" Ford pattern is that it is common to many bigger 5 lug Japanese applications), but the Chrome and Black Rebel wheels are available in 5 on 4-3/4".

We don't call them a USRE (Universal Street Rod engine) for nothing.

Just remember that Louis Chevrolet sold his car company, and after that got into the business of selling hot rod Ford parts. LOL

I was looking at the turbos and frame work, didn't even notice the SBC sitting there.

well the motor thats in it is just for "mock-up" its plastic. yes it really is getting a chevy! im a bow tie guy and always have been. i fell in lust w/ Hal Baers car a few years ago (he's local to me) and to tell ya the truth after dozens of camaros and chevelles i didnt even know what year the car was, i just knew i liked it ALOT. and now that dune season is over i wanted a summer project. so about 6 or 7 weeks ago i started ordering parts and hacking everything out of the way that i didnt care for.

Really nice car. Interesting point about the wheels. No Chevy bolt pattern, that sucks.
