Looking for advice on how to mount 2 Recaro seats in my 1978 G-body Malibu with a factory bench seat.

Who makes a pair of strong/safe seat brackets for this application?

Also need advice on seat belts/harness & how to mount them properly.

Thanks

i got mine from corbeau cause i had plans of installing the CR1's, but plans changed and i bought the scat seats so i had to a little extra hole drilling to get the seat to bolt to the frame. but i set the brackets in the car without a seat and they fit perfect. for the money they were definetly worth not having to fabricate anything. btw, im building a g-body elcamino. it also had a bench. pt#'s from corbeau were D184 and D185. Those were for a vehicle with a bench seat. as far as harnesses go, dont buy em unless you're installing a cage. this has been discussed over and over on this board and the only safe place to mount the shoulder harnesses is to the bar behind you on the roll bar. mounting them to the floor isnt safe. as far as the lap part goes, the easiest thing to do is pickup the original seat belt holes, and the crotch belt can be bolted through the floor with a steel reinforment plate.

The custom brackets from ProCar fit great. I used them with Elite seats. They were something like $50 ea from summit. Fit and look good. 20 minute install.
