Check out Joe-cool on his pimp-azz Schwinn... Anybody else got kids into mini-choppers (his first welding lessons)?

I've checked out those Schwinns, (there are a couple cruizin the neighborhood) but I decided to build my own. So far I have the majority of three bike frames into this one. The fork tubes are built out of 1" square tubing, I'll be using very short pullbacks with drag bars and the seat will be aproximately where that soon-to-be gone brake mounting stud is. I'm 6'4" so I had to stretch it out quite a bit.

Here are before and after pics of the frame.

Cool Bike. I had a Schwinn Mag Scrambler when I was a kid. I loved that bike. It saw many a dirt hill in my adolescence. I sold it in a garage sale for $10 when I got my license at 16.

Salute! Mag Scrambler. :worship: Wherever ye may be today.

Yeah- I had the old bananna seat Stingray years back. Trashed it (somebody had to invent Motocross). Now they're 3K+ on Evil bay. That's OK- kids that 'save' their toys scare the hell out of me!

The 'turbo' on the left is a Procharger P600B (for sale on said Ebay as we speak), the one on the right is a special T60 I made for my Firebird (the car on the right, prior to mini tubbing). My car will have a purpose-built I6 w/ DFI when all is said and done.

907rs- I'm making a set of drag bars & some ape-hangars to see what he likes + it'll give him a shot at bending some tube. I also sympathize with the 6'4" thing- I'm 6'2", and my knees hit the triple tree (you know I had to 'test drive' the darn thing). After we got this, he doubled up his lawn-mowings, and has just about earned his way to a B&S Raptor motor for his mini-c.

thanks for the compliments, fellas- sometimes the ego needs a few strokes to keep it happy!
