I am looking for some real comfortable seat options that could fly for a more stock appearing seat, I dont know about you other Nova guys but these have been the most uncomfortable stock bench seat's I have ever sat in!

I feel like I am crowding the steering wheel,we moved the seat back once and the seat is slid all the way back on the seat rails and I still feel crowded.

the rest of the interior is fine and I rarely have anyone in the backseat so I just want to find something thats real confortable on long drives that I can also slide the seat back further, prefer to stick with a bench style bottom with a center arm rest.

I am only finding Teas,Glide engineering(has for chevelles but no Nova's)
Is there any other seats like them?

I know of the corbeau, recaro etc.I am not interested in that style.

anybody figured out a good set up? also good seat belts are a concern as I have none........ :help!:

My friend Bruce Johnson of 2quicknovas.com fame installed Fiero seats in his 3rd-gen. They look nice and are comfy

My factory buckets are less than comfortable.

I was also thinking the stock bucket route like yours but a friend had them and yes you are right they are not much more comfortable than my bench.

I am checking out the website now,Thanks.

Damn I love your car man....Looks great. The Grand Prix seats are comfortable too as I have driven several when I worked at the dealership.

I have a 67 deuce without the post and looked high and low for a replacement for the stock bench. Since money wasn't really an object (per se), I toyed with the idea of rebuilding some stock buckets out of the same year SS or similiar (chevelle, camaro, etc.). But once I figured it all out, the premium for acquiring those SS seat frames and rebuilding/recovering the seats, I was going to be into it for $1500 +. Just the front seats.

I looked for aftermarket seats, but everything was too tall for the look that I was after. Recaro, Momo, etc. are all high backs. Then after weeks of frustration I found what I was looking for. 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO seats. The headrest comes off and is within an inch of the bench seat height. The fronts fit perfectly with VERY minimal modification and the rears even fit (slightly narrower than stock, but we fab'ed some arm rests to make up for the difference in width. I found these seats on EBay out of a 2006 GTO with less than 100 miles on them. I bought the whole interior for $1200. I have a few pics on car domian if you would like to check them out.

Hope this helps.

I had a set of cavalier/sunfire buckets and they are all pretty much the same from like early 90's to now!

Those seats were perfect in there!! take off the headrests and modify the brackets some and they were perfect fit...I dont like the seats stickin up over the top of the doors. I really liked those in my car but sold em and got the grand prix's.

I seriously look into those...you can find em at any junkyard...cavy's and sunfires are plentiful!!

(the console was a 92 grand am unit that fit nice too!!)

Hot rod: Your interior is sick!
Lo Pro: Love those seats! Now I'm really confused although if you say they went in with no problem versus Hot Rods Install I think I'll go your route!
Nova: Good question! WHAT ABOUT THE SEATBELTS?

Keep in mind that I am in Iraq and my interior is going in as we speak. My friend, who is not an interior pro by any stretch but does have tinkerer's experience; said that the fronts went in very easily. I would assume using the brackets that came with the GTO seats. I did have one request, to set the seats back an inch or two further than the stock bench becasue I like to drive straight legged; which he did.

He did say that the rear seat section needed to be opened up, foam cut down about 10 inches and re-stitched back together. Plus the rear seat piece was about 10 inches narrower than the stock rear seat. He filled in the gap by fabbing up some fiberglass armrests on each end and covering them with leather to blend the seat into the rear. Sounded like a little more work with the rears with all the fabrication, but as I described, nothing special going on.

I don't have pictures yet, but when I do, I will post them ASAP. I will be going home for a week from 22-28 May. I should get some good update shots for everyone.:usa:
