to this.

we have replaced the rear quarters, outer wheel houses, trunk dropoffs, trunk(which is removable right now) everything has has been por 15'ed, lord fusor is a godsend, and now, obviously our rotisserie is done. we were goin to take it to the media blaster, but its my lil buddies 4th bday, so we are gonna try to do it on wednesday. everything is going well.

the lt1 is still in the corner, i have bought a bunch of tube, and am looking foward to piping the twin turbos. i have all the sizes, and a good number of sketches on where the intercoolers goin and routing of the pipes.

i still dont have a 4l80 yet, but i have been looking in the papers, lazily. im in no hurry.

the front subframe will be blasted wednesday as well. i am contemplating doing the guldtrand mod on the second gens that i found here, i think i am gonna do it. (i have the page on my computer, i could email it to someone if they are interested. its mainly for antidive from what i gather.)

the new frame rails are here, so moving them inboard will be happening very soon. looking to minitub primal about 3 inches.

its gonna have airride on it, so i have been pinching pennys for the shocks(dual adjustables)... the airbar setup is nice, but......

i have been reading the books recommended here(herb adams chassis and race car milliken) and have decided on a 3 link with watts. since i am doing this slowly and once, i figure its worth it. i am losing my back seat(8 point cage) so packaging is no problem. according to my handy dandy tape measure, i am going to be able to run a 28 or 29 inch lca, so now all i need to do is figure out where the uca is going. i have tons of room, so i can make it as long as it needs to be. bubye back seat....

thats my biggest hurdle right now, the rear suspension. its going to be on a narrowed 9", maybe a fab 9? but we are excited.

overall, its going along fairly smoothly so far.

plus my wife bought me the paint already, and i have the rims picked out.... its gonna be niiiiiice.....:drive1:
just thought i would chime in and show whats been goin on.

Looks like you have been busy. Progress is a great motivator. It's always nice to feel like you are in the "putting it back together" stage instead of the desconstruction, "find out how bad it really is" stage.

Keep those pics coming. Looking good so far.
