LOL, publicly dressing down the owner and employees of one of pHRs biggest advertisers hardly qualifies me as such.

email me at [email protected] and I will get you the contact person about that..

Don't feel bad.. my own mother has never gotten an issue either. They use an outside company to process subscriptions.. sorry.

I met David last year during a cool get-together at Buttonwillow. The car is amazing, and he is one very cool dude. It was fun playing cat/mouse on the track with him, the car is really nice. Haven't gotten the magazine yet, but I'd guess that the pic's only do so much justice, his car is really sweet. And he likes to drive it too, which always makes it a smidge cooler.

One thing in particular that I remember about him, he was not very "boasty" about the car or himself, he really took the compliments in stride and didn't let them feed any ego, just a cool car guy. Mucho-cool.

David gave me a ride in it at Button Willow and I was impressed it went so well for "big" car. David's a humble guy just out having fun. David and his brother are both fun guys to hang out with.

Congrats Dave. How was it watching the test drivers beat on your car? I can tell you that I was second guessing my decision of not trailering mine there.

I can't believe your braking distance. 134.1' with that beast on street tires...wow!

See ya at the track in May.

Hey Dave,

Great article and congratulations on owning the car that graced the PHR cover. Dave P. saw the magazine when it came in the mail and said "That car looks familiar . . . " Wasn't surprised at all to find out the Chevelle was yours as it's one of the nicest I've seen plus handles great too.

So how DID it feel to see someone else cranking it with YOUR car?? That thought scares the crap out of me. I mean it's okay if I do it but someone else, YIKES!!

We'll have fun at Willow Springs in May and bring your "A" game.

WOW, thanks guys for all the props! . I had NO idea that I was gunna make the cover:hand: and I truely didn't think they liked the car. The article was really good except the part about "only costing $20,000 to build" I meant to say "I stopped counting at 20K". :lmao:, Just kidding it was close to 20K. It was a 'lil wierd having some else test the car, I think he was as timid about running it as I was letting him do it...and Dave Grogan(Davezz28) did the quarter mile run so if he broke it, he'd have to fix it. See ya on the track!

I dig your new avatar.. lol..

We have a cool vid of your dodging through the cones.. only problem is that funny sound when you turn left.. lol..

Johnny liked your car. He just gets "in the zone" when he is shooting pics. Did I mention you got the center spread.. and not only that but the LAST center spread ever since we are going to be perfect bound the next issue :)

Oh, and to think.. we were gonna shoot Davids car MONTHS ago but he had a mech issue and couldn't make it. Guess things work out for the best..

Upsides and downsides.. you can only go so big with staples. Hope you like the new look of the magazine enough to forgive the perfect binding. Car features will now be 7-8 pages for every car.. :bananna2:

Dave - Car looks terrific and congrats. That is quite an honor. :twothumbs

Steve - Perfect bound will be a plus as I had to put my mag together this weekend. Not the first staple in sight nor holes where they were.:hmm: Thank goodness for page numbers. Still reads the same though. Great mag.
