LOL....Your eyes are gettin old Bob. That was me driving most of the time. I wore a leather jacket and ball cap to look like Peter.I was driving the Mule and Peter was driving the Shelby. Then Peter did the drive by with the Mule. They didn't show any of the clips with the Mule getting on it. Not sure why. The Shelby will be on in 2 weeks and the 55 Chevy the week after that.

I was hoping they AT LEAST showed a shot of it sling shotting from a standing start or lighting the tires up or getting sideways or something...ya know...something other than moving....in a straight line.

Glad I could see it though.

I was just waiting for them to do a little rolling start race with the Z06. Really puts things into perspective when a "fast" car gets walked like it's tied to a fence post.

guys im looking on yahoo tv and the speed channel . It says the episode # last night was 11008. Looks like it will be on Saturday the 15th at 9:30 in da morning. Set the tivo, dvr, vcr, whatever you have. this is the description. Is this what had the mule in it.

"The LS6 El Camino, one of the three Pro Shop feature restoration cars, receives paint and SS stripes, Tom tests a new ZO6 and Peter straps into a twin turbo 69 Camaro.
We begin our two part mini-project a supercharger install on a 966 Porsche. Xtreme Velocity tests its level 1 suspension at our test track in Dunnville."

Charley, I recorded that episode. The Mule just has that killer look going down the road. So, are you now a stunt double ? They probably didn't show any real Mule power runs otherwise Chevrolet may have cried about it making the Z06 look, well, ...slow.

Great show - too short a clip on the Mule :)You can say that about 5 times more. The highlights for me were El Mule, the Z06 (yum), and the Superformance cars. On the Cobras I swear the camera man must've been driving by at 40 miles an hour. I'd catch glimpses of some seemingly ProTour'ed Cobras and Coupes. They tried to squeeze too much into this episode.

I do not know all the specifics that went into the car, but they referred to the cost of the car being around $300,000! Granted it is very, very nice, but where did that amount come from? Just curious.

I think they said the same thing about that Red '69 Camaro that they test drove, the one that won the "Year One Cup" in '05. Not sure where they're coming up with these figures, :hmm: .

Places like DCG are what is driving the prices of the cars to points where the average blue collar guy can't afford to get a half decent car. I live about a half hour from them and their prices are ridiculous, my neighbor is has a 69 firebird that he wanted them to paint for him, the bodywork was all done and he just wanted Cortez silver base/clear. Paint only $10,000.00 Canadian.....crazy

The Mule is still in my top 10 favorite cars, it looks much better in motion too. I got the opportunity to see it on different legs of Power Tour in motion, awesome stuff.

the mule is what the bar is sat at,i mean that car is what most are trying to surpass, there is only 1 mule, no matter what color the car ,how much money you throw at your car ,the mule rules .period.......if you want to top the mule not only do you have to make at least 1000 horsepower, but you will have to modify the body tastefully,my 2 cents.the tag on the mule says elmule and i love it,but it should say I'MBADD

$10K Canadian for a nice paint job isn't crazy. Being squirt ready in some eyes isn't even close to being ready in a quality painters eyes. You'll spend over 1/4 of that in supplies (if you have only one color and nothing fancy) $25K for some of these fancy paint jobs is more like it..I'm talking American money too..and that's if the body is good..looking down the side and seeing nothing but a laser straight surface is a time consuming chore to obtain.

I believe that he was refering to a guesstimate of what is would cost to build with all professional labor. Let's see, if I sold my house, that shold leave me with a years supply of gas and lodging to cruise that thing around the US on a "sight-seeing" tour! :3gears:

In case you guys did not know, many of the custom fabrication items on the mule were done by us. Not sure why there was no mention on the show.

Bummer no mention.

Did you guys make the exhaust manifolds on the Mule? They really turned out nice. In fact, I had them here at work one day and vibratory polished them for Mark & Charlie. I had my hands on them and they are nice. I think I may want a set for myself.
