I finally found a nice picture of a triple black '71 Duster 340. I have looked literally for years for a good picture, and finally found one the other day (and then promptly went to work on it!). I think it turned out OK, this is my first work I found worthy of using printer ink on, and is currently on my fridge, lol.

This is the car I started with ( http://www.moparmailinglist.com/photo.php?photoid=310&albumid=10&page=1 ), just for reference.

No major work, but a few little detail things here and there, the biggest deviation from stock would be the 'modified' wheel openings that would allow the wheels to be brought out flush with the side of the car, giving it a bit of a modern look. My biggest beef with the Duster body style is that the wheels and tires always look so "buried" under the car. I've been trying other wheels, but these have been the winners so far.

Let me know what you guys think!!

20+ years ago when I had my little 67 273 Dart, I was jealous of the other A-body owners (67-69 Barracudas, and Dusters and Demons especially), because of the room they had for big meats.

You've go the right idea there, go for it!! :fingersx:

I thought I'd share this just for fun... I did it for someone here on the forum (can't remember who at the moment) back when I was taking requests. As I recall, they really wanted to keep the vinyl top on the car, so we tried to "integrate" it into the look. I just thought you might like to see it since it has a similar look and vibe to what your thinking.

Yeah, that does look good! Are those Fiske FM5's, the Profile version? I really like those, but I couldn't get anything I chopped in to look good..thanks for sharing that! I'm going to have to look a little harder to find a set that will 'transfer' over better.

Thanks for everyone's feedback..I really appreciate it, it feels great to finally start seeing this come together, even if it's just on the computer screen for now!!

Just finished these up. Didn't like them at first, but they've grown on me! They are MAR Racing M5R wheels..I don't even know if they're being produced yet. I found the picture on google, a guy with a late model Camaro designed them himself I guess, but that was back in July of '05 (www.phantomss.com (http://www.phantomss.com) is the site). I also brightened the front end up a bit..doesn't really match the shadows though, but the wheels are what I'm concentrating on at the moment. :banghead:

It's not a Duster, but it's the same platform. This is my 67 Valiant 2 dr post I'm working on right now. I just got done with setting-up the suspension. The wheels are 17s off of a 02 Mustang. It's not the much work to get them down low. At this height I can just get my floor jack under the diff and the K frame.

Good looking Valiant!!! I have been wanting to do a '70-72 Dodge Dart Swinger in a similiar fashion since I saw Romeo Furio's "Dust'Ya" from a few years ago.
