Hey did any of you guys ever see the Mule camaro upclose??? Reason being I'm in the process of choosing a paint job for my 67 Firebird and am strongly considering the Audi metallic silbersee color paint used on the silver Mule Camaro...but am all over the place with a decision.

Question is... is the paint used a bright silver(say similar to a typical and frequently seen Silver late model BMW 330I sedan) or is it more of a PEWTER type Silver or SLATE silver/grey??? Is the Mule paint job similar to the Titanium or Platinum Silver paint on the also frequently seen late model Infinity G35 Coupes???

I'm trying to get an overall sense of the actual silver paint tone and metallic properties of the 69 Mule camaro built by Stielow as I've gone through all the pics posted on the Pro-touring.com but the shadowing may make the car look more pewter or titanium in the pics than it really is- thats why I'd really appreciate your feedback!

**BTW, OUT OF CURIOSITY FOR A 67 FIREBIRD DROPPED DOWN AND MIN-TUBBED WITH A 335/30/18" COLORADO CUSTOME LAZEAR WHEELS(SIMILAR TO THE 18" TORQUE II/CRAGAR SSWHEELS), TURBO HOOD AND BLACK CONVERTIBLE TOP WITH BLACK INTERIOR... WOULD YOU DO A SILVER PAINT JOB(MULE) OR INFINITY G35 COUPE (PLATINUM OR TITANIUM) PAINT JOB OR A BLACK PAINT WITH BLUE METALLIC FLAKE(similar to the new Acura TL) TO SOFTEN IT SOME AS I DONT CARE FOR HARD JET BLACK COLOR ?

Thanks, Chris

I saw it in Tallahassee last year on the Power Tour. It a beautiful car but to me it was just Silver. Find a silver "you" like and paint it that color.

Frank's car in the American Auto Wire install is a 68 Camaro convertible that is silver with blue/purple stripes. You might want to take a look. Sounds similar to what you are looking for.

I don’t have a name or code but I repainted my 87 Starion the original factory silver and I think I am going to use this color on my Camaro also.

Why not just go to an Audi dealer and look at an A4, I beleive they are calling it Light Silver Met. now but it's the same paint code Mark used. You can also see it on the VW's...

It's a medium silver to me, My Acura TL is much brighter.

Thanks guys for the feedback and pics...I had thought the audi silbersee color was discontinued! After seeing a silver A4 this morning... it definitely seems very bright.:crying: I'll keep looking for other choices...

Thanks, Chris

Take a look at the Jeep Liberty silvers and Trailblazer silvers. Those are two I have tossed up painting my Chevelle. My 98 T/A is pretty is running in there too for color.

Went to look at a Jeep SRT8 in silver this weekend and the silver was gorgeous. Had a nice metallic in it.
