The rumor I hear is a certain TT Viper ran a serious number.

I'm waiting to confirm before I post it.. but :jawdrop: doesn't quite cover my reaction.

Anyone hear anything, or want to take a guess?

edit: I'm an idiot and put this in the wrong section. Can one of the mods move it at their convenience?

Thanks :hammer:

ProStreet R/T,

Very serious number indeed. Before we left on Saturday it went right at 210mph. Just read on another forum that Sunday it went 219mph. That is blistering quick!!!!!!

I'll post some pics from Saturday after I download after lunch.

Hey guys,

ProStreet R/T - The fastest I saw of the Ram was 196mph. It made two passes, then pulled the motor and put it in the ex-Busch car they brought. That car has gone 220mph in the past with the same motor. The truck was running the 2x4 intake while the car was running a single 4-barrell. Wayne Jesel (yeah, that Jesel company) owns the operation. I was not there Sunday, so I can not speak about that.

MSchu - The guy that owns that car does high end restorations where he lives (Michigan area I think). That rusty Mustang that runs about 165mph must be his release. The Hot Rod crew was very nice and approachable. They did not bring anything to run however. The Solstice group wimped out as I heard. Freiburger takes a ripping for things but is a true,down-to-earth guy. He was at the cruise-in on Friday and spoke to I think everyone there. Cool car guy for sure.

You're tellin me, I can think of a few cars I would love to drop that whole setup right into. That might actually make a cuda getup and go somewhere. :ssst:

Did they use any forced induction/juice on it in the truck, or just bolt on the sheet metal manifold and dual quads? Even 195 in a truck from a N/A small block (prob 358ci) is FLYING. Nice to see what a $50k engine budget can get done.

This was posted on another site by Jr. (svsi)

Alot of driving, racing, traveling. Haven't had a chance to get the vid, pics info together yet.

The car weighs well over 4500lbs

218.95 @ 13psi
219.46 @ 13psi

12psi is around 1200rwhp

Need to unwind and will have alot of info tomorrow.

No nitrous. Just two large Dominator's on top of a sheet metal intake. They had the owner of Wilson Manifolds there on Saturday helping out. We talked with the Wayne Barton who drives the truck, and they said it picked them up over 100hp. That gain got them about 7mph on the track. Wayne builds engines for Ganassi Racing so I would say he is qualified to say. I asked what it would take to push the brick over 200mph and he said some serious aerodynamic improvements would be needed. He said they were shifting the truck at 9500 rpm and going through the trap at 9100rpm. Not much left under the hood to gain.
