Is it possible to fit 275-35-18 up front on a 8.5" 69 Camaro with a stock sub frame. I will be running 335-30-18 RA-1's in the rear. I do not mind some rubbing. Also, what bs would help squeezing the monsters under the fender. I am in the middle of ordering HRE 840 R's, so it is crucial I get it right. Thanks Cory

I just spoke to my HRE wheel guy, and he said a 18x9 would fit my car. Anyone know this to be true??

Carl C has 275/40-17s mounted on 9.5" wheels with 5.5" of backspace on the front and rear of his '68. In order to do this he had to go with after market control arms with adjustable steering stops. That said I'm sure after inner frame clearence the next major obstacle is ride height. The lower the car the tighter the fit. Bottom line I think you can get a 255/35-18 on a 8.5" wheel with 5.25" of backspace to work on a lowered car without too much of a big deal and maybe minor rubbing. Bigger than that your going have to make compromises to make it work.
