I love your car man, that is one of the nicest stangs I have laid eyes on. Killer job :hail:
You should recieve some sort of engineering award for this car.
What Hot Rod issue will it be in?

I'm guessing since they shot your car that they are gonna let you in the shootout????
Hi All,
Thanks for the kind words.
Rybar, we did receive the "outstanding engineered" award at the 06 Autoramma.
Travis, as far as the shootout goes, we are on the short list, but, I aint counting my chickens before they hatch. I am not waiting to hear one way or the other. I am going to get the car race ready. We just had it out on the Autobahn. They said we were not qualified to drive and had Tom Bagley run it around the course. I told them that anyone who survives rushour on the Dan Ryan should qualify, but, unfortunatly, that did not change their minds. :-) OBTW, The guy behind the camera, Rich Shinay <sp> said he was instructed to get some good action shots that they could use for the cover. Woo Hoo!!! I hope the burnout shots came out.
So...
Just uploaded some new vids at the website. Be sure to check out "around the track 1" and "burnout #3".

Bob,
I can't seem to get the Around the track vid to play. I have never had a problem viewing your other vids. How is that one encoded?
Nick
Hi D,
Try right clicking on the link and select the "save target as" option. That will download the file to your computer and you should cbe able to play it from there.

Congrats on the car and all the well earned attention it is getting. I've been following your build since your first posts (and the resurrection of the thread) over at Stangnet. I think it is to your credit that you maintained your vision and still entertained the input and thoughts of the folks that offered ideas. But beyond that, I've been most impressed by how open and free you've been in sharing your project and its progress. That was one of my first comments when you first posted it, and it's still true now. They car may be very cool, but you guys are even cooler!

Yup. In my book, Rich Chenet is the best automotive photographer around. Consider yourself very lucky.

Hi 68,
Rich took some really cool photos of the SN65. I have to say that he was alwayse looking for a better shot. He made us go around the same corner countless times trying to get the perfect action shot. And, when he got a shot he was happy with, he made us do it again.
He was great to work with, and some of the "tricks" he used during the shoot were very creative.
OBTW, I do consider myself very lucky in many ways. Meeting Rich is just one of them. :-)
Now, I just need to get in touch with Bob J and see if his freind still has that blower upgrade for sale. Fine tune the suspension a bit. Upgrade the brakes. Make a carbon fiber hood and front fenders. And I will be ready for the open track smackdown. I think about 550 RWHP should put me in good shape on the type of track they are looking at.
Hummmm...
Maybe they would like to have the event at the Autobaun? I will have to give Rob a call and see what he thinks.

Been there. Chenet made me drive in loops over and over and over again at 15mph to get this photo. But he makes it look like 115mph--and my paint doesn't look nearly as good as this.

SN65, the car turned out really bitchin. I hope you get the chance to get it well sorted beforehand if/when you do get the invite to the PT shootout.
