new to forum and not sure how to run a poll or even if they have one but having a small dispute with the wife on the color pattern for the 68 convert we are restoring.. the car will have an ls-2 with a ford 9" lowered 2" front and 1 1/2 in rear with Global a arms and a 200 or 700r4.. anyway the rims are 17" KMC "hot wheels" sixty eights.. they have a "hot wheel" logo on the cap.. see below

after getting the rims i looked up some "hot wheels" cars to see if using the rims I could copy their idea and make a hot wheels style car and found the following "hot wheel" 68 camaro and was thinking of using the same design... see below
my Wife likes the z-11 look and thinks the "hot wheels" rims with the z-11 colors would look better

My Wife likes the following: So which do YOU think is the way to go z-11 tribute or "hot wheels" tribute

here's the z-11 style

well i think if you are doing more of a pro-tourer wich by the sound of the suspension you listed you are then do the hot wheels but if you are keeping with more stock interior and engine then do the z-11 both look sweet my car is just the opposite of the z-11 same oragne with white stripes "for now that is"

I like the top one, if your not doing a stock sorta build. It's got enough old style but with a new look and attitude.

I didn't get that he was doing a stock type build... if you're not, I think the orange car's wheels are prety sick imo.

I meant to say based upon the voting I have decided to go with the orange "hot wheels" car with the white nose and pointed pin stripe.. since i can not duplicate the hood exactly should i go with the cowl hood like the yellow car above or the 66ss hood with the silver inserts???

thanks to all the people who voted so far..

good choice how soon do you plan on having it painted? im sure you could copy the hood on the hot wheels to some extant maybe have a body shop cut out the sides?? just a thought.

Good choice on the color and paint scheme. Do NOT go with the hood that has the silver inserts. I personally never liked the way they looked on any car.
You could duplicate that Hot Wheels hood with some fiberglass or metal fabrication. Very easy. But if you decide you dont want to duplicate that hood then go with the hood on the yellow car above.

Go with the 66ss hood. The big cowl is to drag!
