ls1 vs ls2 in 1st generation

Thinking about an ls-1 or ls-2 swap for my 68 camaro convert..
the difference in price is $2400 for a turnkey between the two.. is there anything that makes the ls-2 a harder swap for the 68 or is everything the same.. is the only difference being the price difference of engines?

you could prolly build the ls1 w/ the same horsepower as the ls2 for less than $2400

Yep. I bought my 2000 LS1 w/4L60E trans with only 15k on it out of a Camaro SS for $3000.
