I'm just curious if they ever haunt the forum at all? The reason I ask is that they apparently premiered a car at the Grand National Roadster Show at Pomona back in January that is very similar to a photochop I did for forum member 64Comet.

Here are some pics from Ford builder magazine:

And a side by side for comparison sake:

lol... great minds must think alike I guess. I did the 'chop almost exactly a year ago... in April 2005. Too damn funny. Seems I'm always a day late and dollar short.:3rd:

One of you guys had to see a picture and subconciously remember it, thats a huge coincidence. Be flattered, its a cool car.

Thats one odd coincidence if it is in fact a coincidence. And they are 2 hours from me. Holy cow. The car did come out looking great. Does anyone have any more photos of the car? I am going through Blue Moons website now and cant find it.

I was actually pretty psych'd when I first saw it... I was hoping it was actually 64Comet's car and it was done, but then I noticed that it was a pillar-less hardtop versus the pillar'd version 64Comet owns. It did turn out rather nice, but they missed a couple of the cool mods I included that would've helped even more (like the altered side trim, blacked out vent window chrome, or shaved fenders and door handles). But they also did cool stuff lke the hood scoops. Anyway, I really don't recall seeing it before I got the magazine, but maybe... In any case, it is gratifying to see a lifesized version so similar to my photochop.

Never have seen another body style like mine PT'd with the exception of a bright red one that didnt really come out too sharp. Buddha did quite a few wheel combo for me and added his twist to things. The Shelby's were my favorite, the color is the actual color of my car and PT was the direction I was going the whole time. Just odd that someone else would have the EXACT same ideas as me. It is kind of cool to be able to actually see the car in real form. I have a new direction now, but it wont be publicized regardless of whether it was purely coincidence or not. Sucks to have your ideas in someone elses hands even if they werent stolen.

Hi Guys. Sorry to be so late in responding to this thread (Only about a year!!!). The 64 Comet we built was done in 2004 and 2005, and finally unveiled at the Grand National Roadster Show in January, 2006. It was a shop project with a limited budget of $35,000, including the cost of the car. I don't have any photos of it on the web site because the web site hasn't been updated in 5 years. Here are some additional photos.

If you would like more, just let me know.
