That is very cool. I am just trying to decide if that relieves crank snout pressure, or increases it? And also, thinking about harmonics? Interesting, very interesting!

Here's a link to the company that makes the gear drive www.thesuperchargerstore.com (http://www.thesuperchargerstore.com)

Patrick Barnhill has been in the 7's with the same gear driven procharger on alcohol.

They have their ups and downs, keeps the CG low, no chance of belt slippage, but still not easy on the crank snout and it's still a SC.

They do work, but very few instances where I wouldn't rather have turbo/s.

Talked to the guys who make this setup for awhile today..
Seems to be a good idea, if you have the room to mount it.
Not too bad of a $$ either...

Where do you put the radiator? On the roof?

I hav a few options with the design of my engine bay.
The dude with the motor abov is going with two smaller radiators on each side of the blower.

Could always go with a remote unit...

I researched that a little for my application, but you have some major hacks to do with the cooling system and accessories to make it all happen. The higher order harmonics were the other concern - one item spinning at 6,000 rpm connected to another spinning 50,000 - 65,000 rpm both accelerating and decelerating. It's cool on a drag car, a lot of work on a street driver.

If someone comes out with a large enough intercooler and radiator with a hole in the middle I'll buy one yesterday. The uninhibited cool air into the blower is invaluable.

Look at Outlaw turbo cars!!!!!!!

It must be possible to have an efficient set of cores for both rad and intercooler with holes. i mean we are only taking about 12 inch for a F2 allowing for the motor to flex.
This will increase the surface area when compared to two small rads/ intercoolers.

Any tubing on the induction side of the blower restricts it bar a turbo type bell. I'm looking into using the Holley carb bells with mesh on the inducer of the Procharger.

Is this a one to one ratio? With a belt, isn't the supercharger over-driven compared to the crank?

Looks to me like he has some sort of step-up drive built into the crank drive unit that would perform the same function.
