Hey my ex got my sweet 67zz4 Camaro, but now I have a 72 Monte Carlo. I think it has nice lines and is basically a longer wheelbase chevelle.

Anyways I was thinking about doing a 2 tone paint, silver sides and black on the top w/ Boyd triumph wheels.

Hotchkis front and rear with 520HP ZZ4 small block(gladiator engine)

What do you think????

This is going back a ways, but my brother and his friends were always into building their cars to handle back around '86-'92. A good friend of my brothers (and mine I guess) had built a '72 Monte that had a ton of mods. It had every Hotchkis part available at the time (bushings, big ass sway bars, etc), 16x8s (late model Camaro wheels at the time) running 275/50s all the way around, RHO 350hp 350, built turbo 400, fiberglass hood, late model Camaro buckets, stainless 3" duals, HEI conversion, 1LE front and rear discs.... you get the picture. I think he even finally shot paint on it (blue I think). It was a pretty cool car and it performed decently, but he could never shake the desire for a 'vette, so after daily driving the car for a few years and eventually bought a slightly used ZR1 'vette in the late '90s. Last I'd heard he'd sold it somewhere in northern PA.

i think youve got a good plan. i love the 70-72 Montes. the later ones arent bad either. just depends on which year. i would suggest one thing though. pay more attention to how much torque the engine your interested in makes versus hp. Montes are not light weight at all. might need a good power adder or more cubic inches to really get the thing up and moving.
