well I asked a few months ago if someone could photoshop a set of CL-205's onto my malibu......I decided to do it myself lol

I've made a couple of smaller dialup friendly pics to post, if you want to see the full sized pics click the links below the smaller pics (big pics are about 1.5mb each)

front 18x8 with 245/40/18 cooper zeon 2xs
rear 18x10 with 275/35/18 cooper zeon 2xs (was afraid I might get into a little frame clearance issues)

what do ya think?.....I can't wait to do the frame notch this winter so I can go with a little wider tire later on :) those look a little narrow on the 10" wheels....thinking 295/35/18 BFG g-force drags will look a bit better.....and my driveway slopes 2 ways, the car normally sits level

Are you going to the American type wheels? or are those the ones you have now? I like the bottom ones best myself, just need them polished/chrome.

The wheels look great! Same ones I've been looking at also. What B.S. are you planning before the frame notch? after frame notch? Just curious, should be the same as my '83 g-body. If/when you notch the frame please show pics, I'm interested!

I too would love to see pictures of notch job. I feel I will need to do that to my project also.

those are the wheels I bought for the car and not a photoshop job :) just for clarification......front backspace is 4.75" (but I've upgraded to the b-car spindle/1LE brakes so a stock front suspension should use a 4.5") the rear backspace is 5" and fits like a glove as is....the tire has about 3/8" clearance at the rear part where the frame comes back out.....I'll probably use a 295/35 drag radial eventually and don't want to take the chance of it rubbing so I'll probably do the standard 1" notch like the drag racers do :) should give me lots of clearance

Bill theres a tech article over at maliburacing dot com that shows a notch/minitub btw
and that is a very slick looking 'Bu....I like it alot......
and James shaddap lol I figured I'd post em where people would like it lol

lol if I lower it anymore I won't be able to drive it.......hooker super comps for a BBC hang waaaaaay too low on these cars :pat: and the way the front fenders are made it would be mucho fab work with the inner fender structure/liner to get it lower.....its ok as is.....I live in small town missouri anyway.......roads suck, gravel is usually better :scared:

Matt, Thanks for the info. I'll check out the Malibu website for more info on the frame notch. The wheels look awesome. Amen on the sucky roads!
