Have a '00-'02 Camaro steering column, that I want to use in my '79 G-body. Obviously Grant is not allowed to make installation kits for these airbag equipped columns...
One thought is to cut out the center of one of these steering wheels, and do some welding to make the adapter piece my self...
But before doing that I would appriciate any experience, easier solutions or better ideas as how to make this work?

On my 90 ZR-1,I installed a Momo Apache steering wheel by using a 89-earlier installation kit.(1990 was the first year for airbags) Doing this mandated the elimination of the airbag, though.

I put a 12 inch racing steering wheel on my 99 ws6 and the insureance went up a lot. People make steering wheels all the time. So I think it would work as long as it's done right

Before you do any hacking, try a Grant Products 3196 adapter. I should slide right onto your steering column's splines. While the description says up to 94 only, it the splines on a 94 and a 2000 should be the same. For about $16.00, the experiment, might save you a lot of grief.

That's what I was counting on too, but I already have the Grant 3196 adapter kit, and the splines ARE different...:guilty: The newer column seems to be just a tad bit bigger in diameter, JUST enough to cause a headache :banghead:
