Well, after 6 months, the car is done with paint. The guys did a great job, and I can't wait to get it back and get it running.

For what it's worth, the paint is Land Rover Vesuvius Orange, and the drip rails were also shaved. Drew Brothers Customs in Phoenix did the work.

Thanks for the comments, it certainly is refreshing to see it looking more like a car than it has in the past 4 years.

Definitely going to try and expedite the rest. I have packages of OPG, Howell, Painless, and plenty others in the garage to keep me busy!

Is that a pearl or metallic paint or just solid?

The paint is lotsa metallic. In non-direct sunlight it has more of an orange appearance to it, but in the direct light it shifts to more of a gold.

I'm glad it turned out OK, because I couldn't find a Land Rover dealership with one in stock to check....thankfully the crap shoot turned out in my favor.
