HANDS-DOWN that's one of the nicest 1st-gen Novas I've ever seen. I'd love to see any/all pics you have of that beast.

Looks like you're running the BG tri-power setup. How does it perform?

Isn't that Mark Grimes once sold, once bought back, evidently sold again to you, '63?? It looks very familiar anyway, by the way, nice ride!

hello badvelle. yes it is the car that was owned by mark grimes. he bought the car back from me in 2001. i had to sell the car in 2001 because the place i was working was closing down. mark told me that if he was ever to sell the car i would have 1st chance to buy it back. i bought the car back in 2005. i'm hoping to be able to make it to a few of the goodguys shows with it this summer.thanks..

I know I've seen that Nova in either Chevy Rumble or Super Rod but for the life of me I can't find the magazine in my garage. Has to be one of my favorites. I just want to know how you managed to stuff all that tire under the rear without compromising the function of the top.

hello. the car has a narrowed currie rearend and a set of tubs. the tubs do not interfere with the operation of the top. i used to have wider tires on the rear of the car than what is on there now. the top still works perfectly.i hope this helps you . thanks for the compliment!

Any specific type of wheel tubs? Did you fabricate the tubs yourself or where they an off the shelf type of thing? I've got a 63 SS Cnvrt and one day I hope to get around to it. But any info I can accumulate now will definately help me when I'm ready. Thanks.

the wheels are from bonspeed.they are the malibu style. 18X8 in front and 20X10 in the rear.you can get tubs from places like art morrison.

I too appreciate the looks of the '63. What a beautiful car! I am glad the car is back in the hands of the original owner. It's kinda like getting a second chance with your first love?
