Whats the price on the kit pictured for a SBC?

Do you have a turbo kit for a BBC, and if so how much?

Thanks, Chris M

yup it's 4600.00 for the turbos and wastegates and the rest is for the headers and piping. stainless headers ain't cheap. and i'm asume the turbos are ball bearing style . so the prices is resonable.

$3400 for a set of stainless headers reasonable? There's got to be something missing, is that price for custom headers built on the car and then dyno tuned? If not that just seems way to steep...

If you price out the materials required to build a pair of 16 guage, 321 stainless steel headers, with nice merge collectors and all the flanges, 347 filler rod, argon, etc you'll see that the materials alone can cost almost half that.

Go to http://www.burnsstainless.com
or
http://www.spdexhaust.com

And check the prices for a pair of merge collectors, exhaust flanges, turbo flanges, wastegate flanges, and about 10 or so 16g, 321 u-bends, etc.

Now add in the time is takes for a welder to TIG it all together, backpurging everything, and multiply that by the going hourly rate for a good TIG welder and the cost adds up quickly. Obviously in this case the headers are probably built on a jig which saves alot of time. A custom set of headers built in the car can easily take 40+ hours for an experienced welder/fabricator.

When I built my twin turbo SBC 427 several ago, I got several estimates from well know chassis/fabrication shops and they were in the $12-15k range, not including the cost of the turbos, wastegates, BOV's. All that was included was custom made 321 stainless headers, custom air/air intercooler using the largest Spearco core, custom 304 stainless downpipes and exhaust, stainless compressor tubes, aluminum intake tube, silicon connector tubing, stainless t-bolt clamps, etc.

Faced with those estimates, I decided to just buy a TIG welder, industrial band saw, etc and build them myself. I would say I easily invested over 100 hours just building a fabricating the entire system.
