ok i know this might be the wrong section but can i insure my project car if its in peices right now ?? i know i have to get it appraised but id like it insured b/c my grandpa said he can get it running and drive able by the end of the summer but he told my dad his motor in his 68 camaro was bad so he bought it from my dad, turns out it was nothing but a spark plug..lol i dont want my GTO to end up "missing" but just in case. this isnt a done deal yet still trying to figuer some things out.

Yes I saw an interview with either Hagerty or Grundy on my classic car a year or so ago. They specifically asked that question due to the fact that some people may have a considerable amount invested in a project. I hope this helps you out.

Hagerty told me they will insure project cars, they require more documentation (pics) and a plan to have it on the road within three years.
