After months of waiting my new Recaro seats arrived.. They were custom done at Recaro so that was most of the delay (that and the fact that they messed up the first set)

Recaro "style" seats.. drivers seat is heated/cooled and full power. Adjustable lumbar, side bolsters, thigh extensions and headrest.

Not cheap but I had these in my other Camaro and they were the most comfortable and supportive seats ive ever had..

I also bought $800 worth of extra material for the rest of the interior and trunk.. when I saw that bill I needed to :Alchy:

In other news the drivetrain is back in the car and it runs again :)

See those pics here:

This weekend I will be reworking my garage to get it all ready for the cars return.. then I have a TON of electrical work to do and a bunch of deatail work before it goes to the interior shop.. so close :drive:

Small fans inside the seat pull air from the behind your back and push that hot air out the back of the seat.. Did that make sense?

Its part of the power package and it does help :)

Oh, see the new pics at the bottom of this page!! WHOO HOO..

Yo Steveo,

Is the color more similar to a few of the last pictures...up till now it doesn't seem to be a very vibrant color, but those really look good?!?

Damn, that blue is absolutely amazing. Did I read in a different post that that is the Subaru WRX blue? Whatever it is, it's beyond beautiful.

Noel.

I sorta in between.. these were shot indoors and with the flash it made them look so different (and the different colors..) and the color is WRX blue pearl.

Here is my daily car that inspired the color.. the 69 IS this color..

I've always been so impressed with your car.....*sigh*.....the devil is definitely in the details.....the seat fan setup is just unbelievably practical. Very, very nice.

Good to hear/see the progress Steve! Once the body is done the rest is easy (but a little time consuming). At least you have the engine running already!

Yea Tony.. I was getting jealous seeing yours up and running.. You need to update your project status.. is it on the road? I really just need to:

Install bumbers
wiper system
door handels and locks
Headlights and grill parts
Fabricate in front loom to headlights
Clean up and re-wire dash
Dynomat interior
Install Recaros

Plus a dozen tiny projects.. then send it to Vegas for the paddle shifting system at ATS.. when its back It goes in for a custom interior to match the seats..

Im glad its coming home.. its been hard to be "enthused" in the last few months with all the set-backs and not having the car to work on is frankly depressing..

I think tomorrow when I get home I will get more ENERGIZED! :bananna2:

Your screwed if you dont like blue
