View Full Version : Nova Cowl Induction Hood, Best Fit?
I am changing out the stock hood for a cowl,some of the aftermarket hoods are fickle! some fit real good and some dont fit well at all! how about some feedback on the 2 inch steel cowl hood for a 72 Nova?
from personal experience or some body shop guy's that have put them on who do you like? brand and price would be helpfull too.
classic industries has em for $300.00? seems a little high?

Nova if you don't find a steel cowl hood to meet your needs, check out Glasstek or VFN for a good quality fiberglass hood.
I have a 3" cowl hood from Glasstek on a 68 Chevelle that fit without a problem that uses bolt on hinges and latch with their light springs.

I have some crazy off brand I got from J&W Nova. I got it for 300 dollars and it fit perfect. Yes it is steel. All I did was paint it and bolt it on.

I have a 2" Goodmark steel hood, and it fits very nicely. You can get them from Jeg's/Summit for ~$425.00. Sounds like I should've looked at J&W first and saved $125.00.................

My Harwood fits good also.
The $425 price from Summit seems good till you add the $186 shipping they will charge.

LOL, very true. Luckily I live 3 miles from the Jeg's distribution center.

I was "more broke" when I used to work for Jeg's. Man I miss that employee discount.............
Thanks for the replies! I am going to swing by Classic this morning and see what kind of sale they have going on (I think somebody was saying there spring sale is going on now?)
