Can anyone help me out with this? I am ready to put the rearend and leafs back in my 67 Camaro, but I dont know what everything needs to be torqued to.

I need torque ratings for;

Rearend U bolts,
Front spring perches (to body and to leaf)
Rear shackles.

If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Ed

might help if you posted the specific pieces of equipment, and whether or not they are stock... aftermarket...

let alone the type of car (yes i see the avatar, but is that really it?)

Sorry, I did post that this is for a 67 Camaro, and I also posted the specific pieces of equiptment which I am requesting torque ratings for.

Everything in the rear is Hotchkis (their directions suck.)

oh man, sorry about that. was runnin off of about 2 hours of sleep and comin' close to 24 hours of being awake :pat:

did some pokin' around on afew different forums, this is what i found for a 67:

Bolt torque specs ft lb's
Front spring eye bolt 65-80
Front spring bracket bolts 20-30
Spring retainer 35-45 (t-bolt/u-bolt)
Shackle bolts 40-60

As for U-joints the FAM says 12-16 ft. lbs. I don't use a torque specs on the nuts........I just get them tight, ran mine like this for 2 years with no problems.

Ed, Here are a couple pages of torque specs that were scanned from a GM chassis manual. I used these exact specs when I installed my Hotchkis kit and nothing has fallen off yet! :twothumbs
