We are STILL getting the car ready for the Autoramma. We will be leaving on Wednesday the 1st and returning on Monday the 6th. We are still awaiting the delivery of the last few small parts (they better get here today) to complete the last few items on our short list. We will be taking video and photos of the trip to, and at, and from the show. Check back next week for a complete update.

Hope to see you at the show.

Catch ya'll l8r

I wish everyone that went to a big show like that would post the pictures. That's why I have my site, all the shows I go to I post the pictures for a few months.

Great work. Indoor shows are hard to take good pictures. To many different lights.

I was there all day today and had a great time talking to Bob and his brother about the 65/2003 Mustang. It looks better in person than in the pics. It was an ok show, but I dont think it was any better than years past.

If I had a vote....the truck would get it.

By the way, the Jarvis "No Posers" corvette was incredible. That car personafies "Hot Rod".

Josh, where da pics?????:fingersx:

I managed to get a few, but this year I decided to do more looking than camera work. Bills pics are VERY good. I dont think the ones I took would be any different than his.

So, any predictions on the Riddler? I kind of think that silver truck would win. There really wasnt anything that impressed me as much as last years.

Here are Bill & Melinda's with the Great 8 separated out.

I wonder who will win? My vote goes to the '41 Willys

Does anyone know if that '50 was built by Snik's out of Mason City, IA??? The Willy's is very cool, that one has my vote also.

Did the painter that used to be with Boyd and moved to Foose have a car there yesterday? I saw him when I was walking around. He was watching a Sata mini-gun demonstration. I gotta imagine he painted one of the final 8's.

The silver 55 wouldn't start, got disqualified. The owner knew he had a problem before he left home. The officials said even if it had rod knock, if it started he was in, didn't start.
The silver 41 Willy's PU is a friend and customer of mine, Seth Wagner from here in Crystal Lake, IL. The cowl area was from the original truck everything else was hand fabbed from steel. It has a supercharged 5.7 Hemi and a 6 speed.
Chip Foose told Seth if the Willys did't win, the Judges didn't know what they were looking at. Just got the call, He didn't win.

A Roadster won, even with the waves (flaws) in the fenders.
I'm disappointed.

Not trying to be a d1#k here but the quality on the roadster was better than the quality on the pickup..althought I think the pick up had much more fab work and the cool factor was way up there....but the fit and finish was not there!

Take another look. Pro-touring was out in force compared to last year. There was a lot of new cars. Note: for the first time pro-touring had its own category.

I did notice a lot more Pro-Touring cars this year and significantly less Pro-Streets.

.....it's only a matter of time.

I thought the same! Alot of beautiful cars, but no early Chevy II's...guess nobody like em lol.

I walked the whole thing, I like to look at the bikes and stuff, and they really didnt have that many there this year.

What was funny to me was the "rat rod" crowd right beside the "ghetto" crowd...to TOTALLY different "groups"

Later,
