I saw this corvette at a local homeshow, in a "guys garage" kind of display...I had to track down the builder because is was just beautiful!

Check it out....

I've seen this vette in person last year, I think the guy works out of a shop on his property. I think he said he's got about $200K Canadian into the vette.

Nice car, and the mustang looks sick.

That Vette has a lot of nice work, but that's an awful lot of nice piping for what's essentially a CAI... thought it was at least a turbo but no.

That Mustang is going to be awesome. I agree about the valence - doesn't seem to fit in?

Anyone know any details on the frame? It looks like AME's work.

Poopy, you'll have to get these guys to join and add to the conversation about their projects.

Was it made for that car? It doesn't really look like it fits on the sides.

Both cars look killer!

Could got a little more original on the Vettes' wheels though, ;-) .

Cool cars. I saw that Vette at SEMA 2 years ago. At first glance it looks like it has twin turbos. Closer inspection reveals that the tubes are simply intake tubes without forced induction.

Thanks for sharing,

So this is probably a silly question, but how do you take the car off of that work frame? I dont think I would trust a crane and the frame doesnt have wheels so jacking up the car and pushing it out would be kinda hard.

we have post style lift with 4 arms....we roll the table over in between the rack and lift the car up then roll the table out. Then set the car down!

I have seen your pics on lateral-g. I dont understand how you roll it over without the wheels on it. I put wheels on my cart when I built it because I couldnt think of any other way of doing it.

Hey Guys thanks for the comments some good and some notso good.....LOL. I will try to get on here and answer as many questions as I can. The roll bar was built for this car and is an essential part of a car that does over 200 mph. it does fit under a hard top even though we are never putting a top on the car. the cold aor kit is required to feed enough air to the car with the hood on it so it can make its 700 plus HP on 94 octain with out the squeeze. and yes that is a proven dyno #. The car was built to be driven not a show car and car can run in bumper to bumper traffic all day and not go over 190 degrees. there is lots of info about the car on my site. we will be adding tech info on the mustang soon. If anyone has anything they want to know just ask. Thanks Rod Nielsen

Rod,

Any goals as to when and/or where the Mustang will debut? I'd love to see it in person!

What engine management system are you using. I guess I'll look forward to the specifications update on your site.

Also the guy that does your renderings/toons has a pretty cool site!

Ok I hope I dont miss any of these, It will be debuting at SEMA this year, it is running a MOTEC fuel system with traction control, Andrews site is really awsome he works hard at it and at alll his renderings, it has 345/25-20 rears on 14 inch wheels. We have room for a 365 if we can get some one to make them. we try to keep it pretty clean in the shop I cant stand if it is messy. Andrew and I will be at the Seattle roadster show all weekend with the Cougar and the Vette aswell as a couple others I have done some work on. Thanks for the interest guys.

Opps sorry I made the nose for the stang it is necessary to feed air to the intakes and to direct all the air threw the intercooler and engine rads. there is also a lower piece that finneshes it off the fenders also have not yet been modified to fit with the nose I know a few dont like the front end but it still needs alot of work it is not even close to being finnished but it will be soon and then it will all come together. The car is going to be belly panned and we are going to try and run it in excess of 230 MPH so sometimes performance and safety get in the way of style just a little bit. all of the cars I built are built to beat the Shi_ out of they are not trailer queen show cars we were doing donuts in the Vette in the parking lot at the sema show before we put it in there.

Anyone know which wheels are on the Mustang? They look similar to the Foose Thrustar that Chip uses on alot of the Overhauling builds but I believe these wheels are slightly different.

Hot Rods.....

Fantastic looking Mustang! The bar just keeps getting raised higher and higher!

Are you putting a splitter on the nose....? hmm, now if you were to do the nose, fenders and hood in carbon fiber!

We are hoping our aero package (including full belly pan and rear diffusers) will let us knock on the door of 240+

thanks for the good comments guys, they are Boyd wheels Crown Jewels, we are lookin into a few places to run it we have been told that there is no speed limits on hiways in Montana. EVO your camaro looks wicked have you started building any yet?
I do not know of any shows on the island coming up sorry i dont make it there very often. The cars I build may be expensive but they also do get used and perform pretty damn good we are not about trailer queens here.

......The cars I build may be expensive but they also do get used and perform pretty damn good we are not about trailer queens here.

I was being sarcastic. Many folks--not just on the forum, but throughout the hobby--are labelling cars as non-functional just because they are expensive or look pretty. It's a growing problem, so I like to see bad ass hot rods coming together regardless of price or finish. As long as it's functional, I don't care how slick it is or how much it cost.

Front suspension kinda reminds me of this:
http://www.lateral-g.net/libbymustang/

What does that size of front tire do for handling? Seems like it would be counter-productive at a point, but it sure does look bad-ass.

rocketrod I was just curious as to what you based your decision on regarding the ride height of the mustang , was it the look or the amount of ground clearance the car has and whether it will be driveable. just curious is all
