Here are a few pics of the custom gauges we had made for our 59 Impala, Twin Turbo LS1 project. They were made for us by Classic Instruments.

Very cool, Tom; those gauges look great.

THANKS! We modified one of their "shelf" style gauges with some different colors, needle style, gauge range (Boost range, 160 speedo etc), and of course with our logo :)

Tom -
Those gauges look great. If you don't mind me asking, could you give me a ballpark figure for what it costs to have a custom gauge done ?
It was about $1500 for what you see there, along with all the sending units. Their standard gauges are more affordable, we had extra fees from custom graphics work, and custom senders and faces for the Boost range we needed.

I agree, it fits the dash and era of the car with a modern concept flair. :twothumbs
I couldnt be happier with the way the turned out. Classic Instruments made the whole deal easy.

I was going to go with a really sweet set of the off the shelf gauges, but they didn't make a clock in that set, it was going to be over $600 for a custom clock to match, that was nuts..................
I went with the Solarix series from Dakota Digital.

Hi Tom, I'm relatively new to this forum and I've been putting my 67 Camaro back together for about a year now, and I'm leaning towards the Classic Instruments myself. I'm looking at the All American series, which is what it looks like you chose for your impala. How is the visablity at night? I don't guess the lights glow through the numbers right?
These arent exactly yhe same as the All American, but they are what we based our guages on. We changed the needle color, needle style, bezel, trim ring, gauge color, fonts, curved lense, and of course our logo.
The car isnt running or fully wired yet, so I dont know how it will look at night. I hope as good as during the day :)
