Does anyone have a Powertrax posi unit in their car?

Which model and what do you think of it?

I put one in my 85 g body with a 7.5 rear end. Made a big diff while out on the road course. I hear a clunk once in a while during a tight turn in a parking lot, but other than that it's ok. It's easy to do, and the cost is less than a posi.

I tried a lock right and a no-slip. I broke the pins in the lock right. The no-slip started acting the same way with no visible damage. I'm going with no posi at all right now and haven't been this happy the whole time I've messed with the powertrax deals. This is with a manual trans and a mild 350. Might live better behind an automatic.

I have installed the lock right. It says it can be noisy and it can. Very loud and clunky. But no worse than a Detroit Locker. So far they are holding up good. FRANK

I have one and it's not so bad it does chirp the tires around corners sometimes but it does lock up quick.

I have a lock right in my 10 bolt rearend in my 72 nova and I like it. It was eay to install and ya it can be a little noisey, but its pretty good for street driving. I also run 85w140 gear oil in the rearend to help keep the clicking sounds down to a minimum.:twothumbs
