I've been eyeing these wheels for a while now, but I can't seem to find any pictures of these wheels in 17" mounted on a car. They don't seem to be that popular, and I was wondering why that was. Other than the fact that they aren't offered in custom backspacing and widths, I can't seem to find any reason why no one has them. With the popularity of billet ralleys, torque-thrusts and cragars I would've figured these retro-styled wheels would fit in to the crowd, while still being able to break away from it. The price is great at $150 apiece and they come in the sizes that I need. They would be going on a '74 Nova. The only problem is that I can't tell if they'd "break" the car or not. Yay or nay? If anyone's got any pictures of them in 17" on a car, could you please post them. I really can't decide whether to go for it or not. Could you guys help me out please? Thanks

Sorry about that. Here's a pic of them. They're just like the old style slot mags used in the 60's and 70's except they're in 17".

I dig them, and thought about putting them on my 67 bird, or my truck. I think they would look great with a satin black primer job on the car.

Though these wheels aren't offered in custom backspacings, they do have zero offsets, which allows mounting on a lot of different stuff. They just need to be offered in wider widths,IMO.

Steve, what colour is your Nova? IMO those wheels would look great with many colours, but not all. Probably too plain for a white or silver car, but on a red or dark colour, they would be pretty neat I think.

Thanks for the replies guys. Right now my car is blue but it is in the process of being torn down, blasted and repainted. I'm not sure what color i want it to be. I was thinking maybe a two tone with one color being silver and the other maybe a red or a deep blue. Ed, do you think the two tone would provide enough color or should I avoid silver all together? I was also thinking of doing a modernized version of the original color of the car which was the metallic mint green of the day. I dont know, what do you guys think?
Hey Johnny, you know I actually thought the same thing about the satin black but i decided against it because black is hard to paint as well as the satin having cleaning problems of its own.

Two-tone with silver and red or blue could certainly work. I guess it would depend on how much of each colour you did, and in what position. Silver up to the beltline, with the darker colour on top, or did you have the reverse of that in mind? I remember reading a comment about putting the darker colour on the bottom, to avoid making the car look too heavy, but for some cars and colour combos, dark on top looks fine IMHO.
