Yeah, feets is here. Didn't you guys feel the average IQ drop a little? :geek:
For those who don't know me, your luck just ran out. I'm the freak who thought it would be a nifty idea to drop twin turbos and fuel injection on the 440 in my 65 Belvedere. It's also got 4 wheel disc brakes but they're being replaced by a set of mongoloid brakes (because I can and they're not too pricey).
The hot rod will be receiving a few suspension tweaks and chassis upgrades in the near future. I've already got the OD transmission on hand. All I'm waiting on is the time to put the new goodies on the car.
Here's the hot rod:

The engine compartment isn't exactly pretty, but I'd rather drive than clean:

This is the latest brake upgrade I've got in the works. 14-1/4" front rotors with 8 piston calipers and 13-1/2" rear rotors with 4 piston calipers. They're the stock brakes off a 2005 Mercedes S55 AMG car.

Very cool ride feets.
Hey, you'll fit right in, our collective IQ's are all lower digit. LOL.
Anyway, nice to see a TT setup on a Mopar, and best of all it's a driver.
Welcome to the site.

I hate to say it, but it looks like I'll be using Boyd wheels. I've looked high and low but keep coming back to the Smoothie II in gunmetal. Since they've got to be 18" to clear the brakes, I didn't want them to be some big tasteless blingie wheel. I hate that crap.
Finding something that is available in the right size and will work with the body style is kinda tough. These should be ok.

I like that you are keeping it in the family using the Benz brakes, the Daimler Chrysler family that is. Are you going to have to redrill the rotors for a different bolt pattern?

Amazingly enough, the MB bolt pattern is 5 x 112 mm. Mine is 5 x 114.3 mm. The MB uses 14 mm bolts and the hot rod is wearing 12.5 mm studs. I can just barely slide the rotors over my hubs. To be safe, I'll open 'em up a wee bit.
The center register needs to be enlarged about 2 tenths.
I've taken an old set of front rotors and cut 'em down to just the hubs. Now, I can simply mount the stock style rotors (only hubs at this point) and slide the MB rotors over 'em. Fairly simple.
I've got a few toys to help with the conversion. There's a vertical mill sitting in the corner of my garage and I recently brought home a nice little Pratt & Whitney lathe. They should compliment the welder, drills, grinders, and armada of power tools I've got floating about. In fact, I'm planning on adding another 600 sq ft to my house to give me more room for the tools.

I got the brakes at work. Ya see, I sell parts at a major Mercedes dealer. Things come easier (and cheaper) that way.
A setup like that will run about $2700 or so at a wholesale rate. Retail pricing adds substantially. Employee discount is significantly less, but I can't use my employee rate for anyone other than myself.
