1st Gen mirror position?

On the 1st gen Camaro is the passenger side mirror mounted in the same place as the drivers side? My car currently only has the drivers side. I recently found a set of mirrors (driver & passenger) that I am going to run.

Ive seen some cars where the mounts are in different places to accomodate viewing angle.

I just bought one for pass side and according to the shop I bought it from, I might need to alter the stock location to be able to see. SS

If it's a 67, you need to check that the pass side vent window isn't in the way. A 68/69 is probably the same as the driver's side. I wonder if it's in the GM assy manual?

True, mount them in the same location. I start with the drivers side and center the remote cable in the 1" hole in the door...then measure and locate the pass side mirror.
