i have a hugger orange car .....right now soon to be 2 toned black and orange or black and grey..not sure yet.....i want to powder coat some brackets and my hood hinges....i was thinking about black....or metalic black...or an aluminum...or black hinges with aluminum springs....not sure what will look kool...i have seen all 3 but cant decide...my engine compartment will be black and my motor will be painted an aluminum color....any ideas i have a great price off a friend who does powder coating in dallas who is awesome..i can get any color i want for 65 for the pair for the hinges and 20 for any bracket

my car and engine compartment is black, engine is aluminum, so i powder coated the hinges in a near chrome finish...looks kinda like jet coating.

any pics...sounds cool the guy who is powder coating mine told me about this but i didnt know how it would look..

I'd pcoat 'em satin black, to divert attention from them.

On my 69 I did charcoal grey for the hinges and silver for the springs.. looked good.. Use two colors and they will have a little more visual interest. Black with charcoal grey springs would look good as well.

Thas looks pretty slick! What are you doing with the springs?

Or you go with the billet ones from DSE??

Thank you. I'm not going to use springs, because of using a fiberglass hood.

It easy to justify the $$$ for a set once you have seen them! Especially if your hood hinges need to be replaced.
