Power Tour together. Prodigy Customs organizing a 15 room block with sectioned off parking at each hotel at each venue for Power Tour. We are hiring security every night from 10 until 6 to have a man with a gun watch our rides so we can sleep. If anyone wants to join let me know, The hotels are all Fairfield, Hampton or Hilton, average just over $100 a night but the only places we could find to do the block of rooms and parking. The security will be $300 to $400 per night, so split, $20 to $25 each per night, cheap in my opinion to protect our babies. We will also have the Prodigy rescue team in tow with the trailer, jack, tools, and the Prodigy's just in case it gets ugly for anyone. If you are in the southeast and don't want to drive home, we are arranging shipping home to Orlando. We have 3 coming back, would like to fill the entire truck of 6 for pricing and commitment from shippers.
We have at least 5 Prodigy Cars going, Project Prodigy, Our street racer, Bill's GTO, Jagarangs Firebird and Sam's 55 + I have other friends already in. I have about 5 spaces (rooms) if anyone is interested in cruising with us geeks. You will need to be ready to reserve now.

How about the train the guys were talking about coming down..You could ride the train with your car on a train car behind you..whole lot cheaper than a hauler..plus you wouldn't have to fly..it'd be fun

Problem with the train is my guys, a few of them have high dollar (well, not high dollar in your book, LOL) cars, and are a bit anal about who touchs them. We have a transporter based 4 miles from the shop.
So whos guarding yours at night Bob?

Since I sold the 70 Monte Carlo Convertible I drove last year, this years ride will be a "STRETCH Lincoln Limousine". Yes, I will be bringing my driver's hat and stripper's/bimbo's are encouragaged to ride with ME!!!!!
My biggest question now is how big a set of wheels I should install on the car for that "pro-touring" look? The car is already "bagged" from the factory! Suggestions are welcome. I am also looking forward to some drag strip action in the Limo.
NineBall, you can ride with me, we will have a ball!

I have a great idea! Let's make this limo the "Pro-Touring.com" official event vehicle and haul the grand and exhalted "Larry" on the PowerTour in the official vehicle. We could switch off and ride with all the different members of the site and have a great time "carpooling" our way along the PowerTour!
Now if we can just get Chris Horton to do a "Pro-Touring.com" rendering/design that can be easily applied in vinyl with the basic white/tan colors of the limo, we will get LOT'S of publicity and have a great time!
Anybody up for this "nutty" idea? This will be like the "driveable frame" I took to the "Street Rod Nationals" in the early 90's. I had the best time ever at the Nationals. We made the centerfold of Hot Rod and 7 other magazines!!!!

Yeah, I kind of suspected that..I was just being a goof. If I'm there, it will have to be with my daily driver S10 Xtreme. Its been way too long since Ive been on a power tour. But like someone else here already said, being a passenger is almost as much fun.

You guys have the hotels covered, but DO NOT forget the places you are going to eat. I contacted three restaurants during last years tour and they provided security by using local car clubs. I worked great. We had 30 cars (70 people) in our group in Milwaukee. The restaurants are more than willing to do this, I found.

Actually if your riding in the PimpMobile, you probably want to bring your "junk" with you....:seizure:
Seriously, What an awsome idea... The man with the plan.... I am still waitng for commitments from my friends here in Jersey to see how many cars/bodies we will have and where we are catching the tour. Its still up in the air if its going to be VA, PA, or just NJ.... I am definatly meeting up with you guys at some point of the tour.
One thing that sucks is that my car hasn't been off the road since I bought it, but it might not be there for this one as the rear end might be exploded view for a few months getting rollbar, suspension, rear, brakes, etc done.... Damit!
Will see I guess....

I am going to try to attend all the way through Perry, GA where my father may meet me in a supercharged Viper, but I will have a temporary setup that may not be my "pro-touring" finished product that i have planned. I may be the red-headed step child of PT.com. As of right now, some parts just got delayed a LOT longer than i expected, but I still want to try and make it and meet everyone. Are there PT site stickers we can place on the back windshields to bring some attention to the site and to recognize other members? Of course most of the cars will be easily recognizable.

I like the "sticker" ID but prefer something that was quickly removed and replaced, for photo purposes. A vinyl window plaque would be ideal.
These vinyl static "stickers" have come up a few times, but I'm not sure anyone has ever done it or found out how long it would take to make. Cost has never been discussed either.
My windows are smoked but I think an sticker would still be visible from the outside.
I wonder if a static sticker would stay in place on the outside of the back window? It's very low drag obviously, and I could tuck it up against the trim to "hide" the leading edge. I wonder what effect rain would have on it "static" adherence when we get rain while driving?

It's not really about what your driving step chiild, it's more about being family. We'll love you even if your not perfect!:grouphug: :poke:

I put a sticker on the malibu a year ago, and it is still there, still looking good after sitting outside for a year. It sticks on the outside too. Now, I am not sure about putting one on the convertible top of the goat, so I am with Kevin, a static sticker would be nice. Either way, we need to represent, even if we came up with a tag or something.
Oh, and they let me eat with them, just make me dance with other patrons....no biggy, just a bit embarrassing for the other patrons....lol

Anther chat session with Alicia on the stickers....
Alicia: Hello and welcome to Koolprint! This is Alicia, I am your Live Personal Service Representative.
Alicia: Please do let me know if you require any assistance.
You: Perhaps you'd be the easiest soultion to my questions
You: hello alicia, my name is kevin
Alicia: Hi Kevin
Alicia: How may i help you ?
You: i'm looking for priceing on perhaps 25 clear static window stickers with plain white lettering and maybe 2x6 in or 2x10 in.
You: pricing sorry for the spelling
You: lettering would likely be....www.Pro-Touring.com
Alicia: ok, but our min quantity order is 100 for window stickers
You: can I copy and paste your price info on the message board @ Pro-Touring.com
Alicia: yes sure
You: What would 100 be then?
Alicia: do you want to apply these stickers inside of the window?
You: This little live chat is SUPREMELY helpfull.
You: does the side of the window affect manufacture?
Alicia: thanks
Alicia: no
You: I would guess that some of the guys may want them on the inside and some on the outside
Alicia: ok, you can apply these stickers as you want
Alicia: as these will be printed on Clear Vinyl Stock
You: my car windows are tinted and the logo would likely not show up if applied to the inner surface
Alicia: with back side adhesiveness
Alicia: ok
You: hmmmmm...when you sayd adhesiveness, you mean statically and not chemically yes?
Alicia: Price for 100 window Stickers size 2x 6 printed on Clear Vinyl Stock is $429.99
Alicia: these will have same back side adhesive as normal stickers have
You: ewwww...not so good
Alicia: if you order today we can offer you 10% OFF
Alicia: along with FREE Shipping and Handling within USA
You: Thanks...gimmie a sec to crunch a few numbers
You: 387 with Free S/H
Alicia: yes
Alicia: with 10% OFF
You: what does the sticky portion of the "sticker" have protecting it?
You: Can they be made without the regular sticker properties
You: just as a strictly vinyle "applique"
You: my spelling is getting worse
Alicia: the above price which i have quoted is for window stickers
Alicia: you can easily peel them
Alicia: we can send you some samples by post
You: I'm looking for vinyl static adhesive free applique
You: the sort that can be removed and reapllied to clear glass etc
Alicia: then these will be called Static CLings
You: indeed.
Alicia: oh ic
Alicia: these are Static Clings which can be re-use
Alicia: and 100 static clings will cost you $589.99
You: perhaps by static in the begining I mis-spoke
You: ahhh....thats what I'm looking for
Alicia: so let me know should we proceed for online order processing?
You: not yet.....I need to post it on the board to see how many are interested.
You: How can I return to complete the order with the 10% and S/H incentives
Alicia: may i have your name and email address for reference?
Alicia: you can email me at
You: Kevin
Alicia:
[email protected] with Attn:Alicia as Subjec
Alicia: thanks Kevin
You: jagarang at yah**
You: ok. I'll post the results and see what response I get.

Anybody know how to go about getting static stickers made up?
I just got off the phone with my sister, (she does vinyl signs, etc.) She doesn't recommend driving with clings on the car, they will come off (speed, weather, etc.). But anyway, I got some prices too. In quantities of 100 6" wide would be $1.50, 10" wide would be $2.50 the prices are for just the url in either a cling, or self stick vinyl letters (after only a week on the window, should peel off very easily). Or, we can go the logo route with the url underneath 6" wide would be $2.00 and 10" wide would be $4.00 Talk it over and let me know. These prices are for quantities of 100 or more. Smaller quantities would be slightly higher. Also, If we decide to go with the logo, I would need a "good" file of it, and most likely permission to reproduce it.

Here's is a bargain price on the static window clings thingies....
Our price for printing when you order (50) 2" X 11.5" static vinyl clings
is,
Spot colors:
1 color $139.19
2 colors $167.54
3 colors $195.89
4 colors $224.24
5 colors $252.59
4 Color Processing $260.78
They will print 25 in reverse for the insides of the windows, and 25 "standard" so they can be applied outside. I was thinking regular white lettering @ one inch which leaves a .5 inch border around the "www.Pro-Touring.com" logo.
Is this OK with you Larry if enough people are interested?
Are there any powers of attorney, writs of habeas corpus, or cease and desist orders you and I need to chew the fat over?
I didn't think I'd find a printer who would do such a low quantity for such a resonable price AND do a half&half on the direction of print.

Actually the prices I have in the post above are close to these. Sorry I didn't notice that sooner. We just don't need to buy as many at the other place, and we can get some for the inside side of the windows and some for outside.
If we do this, I'd probably buy a few just in case they don't stay put on the outside of my window. I think I'd tuck it up tight to the chrome window trim, maybe get the leading edge under the chrome a bit, and hope for the best. Probably get one in reverse for the windsheild also, since it's not smoked.

As long as the windshield doesn't have a pic of Frank's face while the rear window is a picture of his, uh, well it would look like Saturn with those multiple moons. Scare the other PT'ers away.:lmao:
