I thought some of you could get a good laugh out of the old redneck drag racing days of my Camaro. It sure has come a long ways in 3 years!
The funny part is I didnt even have to jack my car up in the rear to fit those huge tires under there. They just bolted right up. 28x11.5-15

Nope. Even back then I knew it looked redneck and I hated it. I knew eventually I would save it though. :)
Those huge tires were only on there for the trip to the dragstrip. However when I took those off I was rolling around on 14" wheels. That also sucked. I was soooo thankful when I saw Steve sell the Budnik wheels. That was the beginning of my cars transformation. I cant ever thank him enough for the deal he gave me on those wheels. :hail: :hail: Steve.

LOL I kinda thought you would say that.
You should post a "now" picture. It would be neat to see before and after shots in the same thread.

Man, gotta love those before and after pics... especially when hillbillies or someone who lacks good taste gets ahold of your car.
My '69 was some groovy 70's paintjob (wish I would have taken better pics), my current project '70 Chevelle is a god awful green which I have designated as being "seafoam green" and my dads '70 Camaro was some wickedly nasty turquoise color with waves it in because there were so many layers of paint.
Your car in that state looks exactly like what every hillbilly at my local dragstrip would drool over... I hate when they chop up good cars.

That's the ugliest color ever Chevelle I just bought... If I could get it on the rack you could really see the hillbilly work put into it. Perfect cage yet some VERY oddball parts. Note the absolute must cragars as well.
My window net is WELDED IN... the only way to get the net out is to cut out the rod it's mounted on. It's got one of those gas tanks the pulling trucks use, around here anyways.

^^My dads Camaro before we tore it all the way down and redid just about everything
And My beloved Camaro before the 15 months on pain, wish I would've taken better pictures before I tore it down.
(Big pics so I'll just give links... Massive hippy paint job, I wouldn't doubt that some of you had your cars painted the same back in the day haha )

We've bought some ugly colored cars over the years, thank god for paint and bodywork.

Hi folks... My name is Jeff. This is my first time at an Air Shocks Anonymous meeting. My problems started on the streets of Detroit in the early 80's, then snowballed from there...
