I am curious how many people here live in Vegas & work in the aftermarket automotive related field. I checked into houses there & a house similar to mine that is 2000 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bath on 1/2 acre runs about $360,000. I about *****.

That seems a little low for that much land in Vegas. The market has cooled somewhat lately so the prices may hold steady for a while. Not much there for major aftermarket stuff there except for ATS. I think Clark County has around one million people in it with the majority in Vegas, North Vegas and Henderson.

that does sound cheap especially with the land

For example, I just sold my home in Vegas in November. It was a cookie cutter 1450 sqft 3 bed 2 bath home on a 1/4 acre. That went for a little over 300k. One thing to keep in mind is you will lose your basement. Storage could be an issue.

Sorry forgot to mention that the house I looked up in Vegas was on .21 acres. And I don't currently have a basement. And to think I am trying to find something with more land & a basement. I just want to do something different. Can't find it around Indy.

Basements are not needed in Vegas and are expensive to build. It can cost a boatload of cash to dig in the rockfilled soil of Vegas.

I agree with 6'9", CA is WAY over priced. along with the LA area, don't look in Sonoma or Napa Counties either. Very beautiful place to live, but home prices cause strokes....

example, home across the street from me, 3br 1 bath, 960sqft, 1 car garage, less than .1 acre, 518K

come to the southeast..ask Kyle at Detroit Speed..he just moved his whole operation to N.C. Georgia/South Carolina/Alabama/Tennessee/good living and inexpensive..If you've got car skills, Alan Johnson is looking for good people..

I'd have to agree with Bob; it seems NC and VA are doing whatever they can to keep, support & gain more of the motorsports inductry. If you've got skills (real), the whole area around DSE (Mooresville) is swarming with industry.
Lake Norman would be a cool place to live... just down the road from DSE.
