Does anyone know what you have to do to an ls1 computer when running an ls2 engine.I know the crank reluctor ring is a different count.the knock sensors and front mounted cam sensors would probably need wire lengthening, but canthe ls1 computer be re programed for the differt crank count

You can't just reprogram the LS1 computer for a different tooth count. Some people have actually replaced the LS2 wheel with an LS1 24 tooth wheel. You really don't need to do anything now that HP TUners has support for LS2s. Just run the stock LS2 computer.

It should be noted that only the 2006 LS2's have the 58 tooth ring. the 2005 engines have the 24x ring.

If the cam sensor plug is grey you have an '06.. if it's black you have an '05

if you replace the reluctor you must also replace the cam gear.. swapping the reluctor is NOT an easy deal. the Crank must be heated and it's a bear to get off/on.

Yea, you can ditch the fly by wire.. but why?
