Caster +5 deg driver's side, +5.25 pass side. or as much as you can achieve up to +5.
Camber - .5 deg Use more neg camber if you don't have the Guldstrand mod.
toe in, 1/16" to 1/8" (try toe out for high neg camber settings like -2 deg racing use.)

Why more caster on the passenger side ?

Caster
R= +5
L= +5

Camber
R= -0.75
L= -0.75

Toe in
3/32 total

Right now im only running 3 and 3.5 degrees of caster as I need to slot my strut towers on my third gen.

As I was informed by my tech the caster split takes into account for road crown and driver weight. With as crappy the roads,(no consistant pavement) are here I plan on going to equal caster specs next time through and see if she feels better.

I'm guessing to compensate for road crown. I wouldnt do that, I like equal, but if they aren't equal, that is the better slant.

What do you define as hot street ??

Without the Guldstrand mod, I used to run -1.75* camber (and at tin\mes even more) with as much caster as I could get into it, which came out to be around +4.5 to +5.0* and used zero toe for a more stable turn in. If you are really looking to throw the chassis around, about 1/8th toe out is a lot of fun.

Even with that much static negative camber, it still had higher running temperatures on the outside edge, but tire wear wasnt really an issue.

I've had two third gen's, an 85 Z/28 and an 89 IROC, I gave both the max neg camber and as much positive caster the slots would allow, it ended up slightly uneven side to side but not noticeable when driving it.

I think it was 84 or 85 that the strut tower had more caster provisions...so i need to do a little die grinding

I think I got just short of 1 deg neg camber more than 3/4 deg anyway, I don't remember how much caster.

Good alignment suggestions. Doug you don`t mention what you`re running for upper arms,if you`re running the G mod or if you have offset cross shafts. If you have stock upper arms and cross shafts you likely won`t be able to get those numbers with a 2" spring drop. With G mod even more likely. Example: I just did the alignment on a mild `70 Nova PT car in our shop last week. 2" spring drop,G mod,stock arms with offset shafts and Delalum bushings. The best specs I could get out of it with max (7/8") shim packs on the rear studs was -.25* camber and +3.25* caster (+3.5* on the R side). Still better than stock specs but less than ideal. The owner wanted it to look stock so I couldn`t use our adj. tubular arms to get the prefered performance specs. Get it as close as you can to David`s specs though,they`re almost identical to the specs we recomend. Mark SC&C

IIRC, it was 85 when the 16s appeared. I had to open the slots up on my 82.
