What rear gear ratio does that have? Seemed like you were going forever before you shifted. I didnt hear the 2nd gear scratch. :drive:

3.5 gears in a 9" axle. Actually it shifts into second not long after the launch and I feathered it along until you hear it catch 3rd right where I let off. It broke traction again just before 3rd. I must have hit some sand on the road. On my original higher resolution vid you can see the smoke rolling off the tires again just before 3rd, then I let out. On this version of the video if you look close near the end before I let off it you can see the car slip sideways a tad and a cloud of smoke off the tires.

Oh ok I didnt realize it was an auto. That makes perfect sense. I am so used to hearing everyone shifting with 5 and 6 speed trannys. Thanks for sharing the video. Never have enough burn out videos. :)

I like doing that with the ET streets in the Nova with about 25lbs of air, makes nice white streaks on the black top, sort of like a crude street cleaner
Very cool! Not to mention that car is super nice! Enjoyed seeing it in Daytona! I don't remember you doing that, though! :3gears:

You mean...EXtreme traction limited! Those Goodyear EMT tires are like skating on ice when you nail it. However, they already saved my butt once because I lost a tire on the first big road trip, but didn't loose the ability to "limp" it in thanks to the run-flat technology. In fact, I didn't even know I had lost the tire until I got to my destination and was able to look at it the next day!
If and when I get around to taking this to the track I will need to get my hands on a set of 5th gen Vette drag radials and rims.
