i have 410,s now in my 12 bolt in my 69. kinda tired of them gears and right at the moment a gear vender dosent fit into my budget while trying to get my chevelle back together so i was wondering if i can run this gear on this combo or will i be wasting my time. 540 cu inch 11.0.1 comp dart pro 1 335 heads cnc dominator intake 1050 dominator by pro systems turbo 400 3500/4200 sthal i also have a 2800/3200 lying in the garage the cam is 736 int 714 exhaust 262 /268 @50 112 lobe sep solid roller . do any
of you think i can pop in the 342 gear set i have also never used and will the motor pull this gear if i drop to the 2800/3200 converter? or do you think i have to much cam ? please comment advise or speculate all is welcome . i would really like to go a few more places in the camaro than just around town and not be winging 3500 to 4000 rpm . thank you

Question, the 3200 converter you have, was it 3200 behind a 800HP, 540CI big block? If not, it will flash higher then it did in the smaller motor. I would put a 3.55 in it, but you should have no problem pulling the 3.42 eith. Yeah, will it be a bit dead on the bottom off idle? Yeah. is this a bad thing with 800HP and 700TQ on the street were we are tration limited? No.

um it was in a 12.5.1 comp 468 that made 639 hp 555 tq so i was hoping it would be okay . as for loosing some bottom end grunt i can deal with that real easy . its like at 70 mph stand on it and fish tail and from a dead stop there is no hope of any traction for kicks i thought id be a wise guy do a burn out the first trip around the block you know look cool and all well it cost me a complete set of eagle gs d3 rear tires in one through the gears stop i was like okay there went 600 bucks . so bottom end and out of the hole isnt to much of a concern . id like to drive a lil further when i drive

i am thinking about 3.50 gear in my 37 coupe with a 5 spd lenco and 706.
