Well I am once again looking into the posability of selling all my solid axle crap and going with the irs, the only problem is my welding skills are crap to say the very best, so i dont exactly trust myself with something as structural as the whole rear suspension.
So does anyone have any rough estimates as to what it would cost for a good enough shop to perform it, or what i was thinking could be another option would be cutting everything up getting it all in place prepping the surfaces and call in a mobile welder guy and just having him run the welds.....
any ideas guys?

I'm no expert, but it would seem to me that installing suspention parts with a acetiline welder would be somewhat like cutting sheet metal with a hammer and chisel. It can be done, but it won't be pretty.

You are close enough to the man to ask Wayne to do it. He knows better then anyone what the hours required are

yea you are probably right about oxyacetaline, just throwing it out there. I think ill shoot wayne a email but shipping my car all the way up to washington is a lot more more money that I dont have to spend...

It is about a 50 hour job to do correctly, and get it rolling. It isn't too hard to do if you have an air compressor, some grinding wheels, and a MIG welder.
