Bolt on spacers dog.

Measure the backspacing of the Vette wheel, compare to what backspacing is needed, subtract the two, and get that sized spacer.

Z06 wheels are VERY wide (both front and rear) for a first generation Camaro. Regular C5 wheels will fit with the correct bolt-on spacer.

C5 wheels will fit with a 2" spacer on front and 2.5" on the rear. However, it is very close and the front will rub the fender on bumps when turning or when the car is loaded with passengers. The rear is super tight on a stock fender and will need the inside of the fender lip to be cleared out a tad.

Now...The C6 ZO6 rims are huge. The rears are 12" wide. They simply won't fit a first gen without min-tubs.

The good news is several aftermarket rim guys are now duplicating the C6 and C6 ZO6 rim in the C5 size and offset for reasonable prices.

I guess I should have gave some facts on the car.

FUll DSE front kit, upper and lower arms, coilovers, etc
Rear DSE mini tubs, 3" drop springs
Rear has yet to be cut!!

I think I am gonna go ahead and buy Intro's though, only a few more bucks and I can get what I want

I already have the after market z06 black repros in a 17x9.5. Will the 3.5" rear and 2" front still be correct offset for a factory 68 set up? THanks! I have looked for months and this is the first site with real, good, info! (The wheels are the ones on our 1993 Vet in the profile pick)

It should be 2.5" on all four corners with 17x9.5. However, I would start with a 2" and check for sure. It is difficult to know with exact certainty the aftermarket rims are a true 9.5 on the correct offset. A true 9.5" rim is actually 10.5" wide lip to lip. However, many people will measure lip to lip and call a 8.5" rim a 9.5. If your rims are actually 8.5" (showing 9.5 lip to lip) then a 2" spacer would be correct. A true 9.5" rim in the front is going to be 10.5 wide and will be at the max for steering, fenders, etc. The good news is the 67-68 has a round fender and is far more fogiving on wider rims than the 69.

It is fairly easy to check. I made wooden spacers when setting up my 69 Camaro.

You can't go wrong with intro. I get mind from www.hvydeez.com You have a whole different animal there with your modified car that opens a whole range of options.
