Basically just bought this car, and hoping I did alright. Not sure if I'm going to keep the LS1 yet, or sell it off. If I keep teh drivetrain, do you guys have any idea on what the rest of the stuff might be worth? Anyone wnat parts? LoL.

Hey Ian,
I can't tell from the photos, but if the seats are black I might be interested. Send me a PM if you have a price in mind and will ship.

You made $2000 OVER :jawdrop: the price of he car? Profit? Or you made $2000 parting it out after you kept the drivetrain, meaning you got a $2500 drivetrain? I'm asusmign thas what you used as a donor.

Heck, you should have no problem.. the airbags and t-tops sell for good $ on the market.. all the front pieces are good as well and the interior is worth a few bucks as well.
Ever price a glass rear hatch?

You will do alright on that car. I never buy cars that have been hit in the front. Most you find are that way so everybody is always hunting that stuff.

T-TOPS AND BAGS dont bring anything much worth talking about these days . I part these cars all the time . good luck , its definately getting harder to make some $$

Yea, I'm finding that the bags are virtually worthless on e-bay (well..not worth much) and that the t-tops can be a hard sell, too. We'll see. Any idea what the front clip might be worth? I see posts every now and then on people wanting to convert LT1 cars to look like LS1 cars...

Looks like a good buy. I am interested in the center caps from the wheels. PM me a price if want to sell them.

Before you try e-bay get on a couple of local f-body message boards or places like LS2.com, camaroz28.com, LS1tech etc..., usually you can find folks needing a variety of things and you dont have to pay listing fees like you would on e-bay

Really, they cost a FORTUNE from the dealer, would think they would have decent value on the market..
Maybe that's why I don't part out cars.. lol

I just got $225 for what amounted to NOS 3rd gen tops (2nd design). But I literally could not give away a third gen hatch (big piece of glass). But the 4th gen stuff seems to move ok; kids own these things and don’t have new part funds. When I see posts for ‘parting out 98 Z’ or whatever, I see the most bizarre things asked for. Junk I would throw away.
Anyone need LCAs for a 3rd gen? :P

Well, brought the car home. The frame rails are BARELY kissed, othe rthen that a new quarter panel, hatch, wheel house rer panel and trunk floor would bring this car back from the dead. It's really quite clean. Just cut of fthe old 1/4 panel and threw on a spare tire... drives straight and smooth. What a shame.
Now Im thinking LS1 in my '73...

You can get a grand for the front clip from someone looking to do an update on a 93-97 car.

I see the fans going for $100. But I got my LT-1 fans for $50.

Well, posted up the T/A for parts on CL and stated Im not really looking forward to getting rid of the drivetrain... but that money talks. Basically all day long Ive had e-mails asking what tranny is in it, nevermind the ad says it's an automatic car. :pat: But, when people ask how much I'd let the motor/tranny and all accesories go for, I've been quoting $4200. I know it's a little high (to deter me selling it..lol) but it seems people think I am absolutely off my rocker? Am I? After calling guys locally parting these cars on a regular basis it seems an LS1/auto routinely goes for $4K, and that seems to be the typical number on e-bay, as well. I figure an extra $200 would be worth it being you can hear the damn thing run and the motor has zero piston slap. Maybe not. Maybe it's just the fact Im getting a lot of people hoping to score a serious deal? Anyway, also been sitting on the seats at $650, is this way high? They are absolutely flawless in perfect condition and are black. Othe rthan that, Ive had one guy ask me about the rear end and that's it. Told him $200 caliper to caliper.
