Hey guys, I found a deal on an 18-19 combo for the chevelle. The wheels are intro pentia's. First off does anyone know where I can find a pic of a chevelle with an 18-19 combo or a chevelle with the pentia wheels on it. Next what tires sizes to run. Rears are 19x10 with 5.5" backspacing and fronts are 18x8 with 4.5 backspace. Can I get away with a 315-35-19 on the rear and a 275-40-18 on the front. or will I have to go slimmer. Tell me what you guys think and info is always appreciated.
Chris

The wheels should work fine. The tire sizes are a smidgen large for those rim widths but will work,,just not optimally.
Can you get an 18x9 for the front, instead?

I agree with Clint, those tire sizes are quite a bit off for the rim size. I would say you should not go over a 275/295 series tire for the 10" wide wheel in the rear. With Intro wheels, if you go above a 10" wheel, you can't have the "fat lip" design. You are just going to have to make some compromises! Good luck and post some pic's when you get them mounted.

if you go 8 in front go with a 265/35/18,looks good with a 315

Here is the Pentia's on my chevelle. The frt.s are 17x8's and rears are 18x10's. 255/40 and 285/35's. I wish I would have went withe bigger tires on back.

I'm waiting for my Intro Pentia's right now!! I ordered 18x8 and 18x10's because I wanted to use a rear drag radial. I have Nitto 555r's on the rear, 305/45/18 and that gives me an over all height of 28.8. So I still have a meaty tire on her! :twothumbs

If these are the one's on EBAY for sale beware of the seller!! I think it's Coy's wheels. I had an issue with them. They kept pushing back the ship date on a set of wheels I ordered so I finally cancelled the order! I then called intro direct and they sell retail direct cheaper than it would have been through coy's. Just my .02!!!

hey thanks for the info man! Turns out my dad is not a fan of anything bigger than 18's so Were gonna have a set made either intro or budnik. And we decided that we wanted 315's on the rear so were gonna have to go with an 18x11" wheel on the rear and 18x9.5 on the front He wants alot of tire sidewall on each. Anyone know who makes a 315/45/18 and 275/45/18. Thanks again guys

Bigger/wider, or bigger/taller? I'm looking at 285/35 18's for my Camaro and would like some input.

What you want and what you can get are two different things, unfortunately. You want to slam the car or build an suv? :rotfl:

THose are the wheels they put on the Red Chevelle that was on RIDES last year. Intro Pentia. Not sure on the size, but they looked great.

I have the Pentia on my 69 Vette, 18x12 rear and 18x9.5 front. They didn't have the smooth lip available for the 12" hoop when I bought mine.

I think intro charges another 300 per wheel to go wider than 10 and they do not offer anyhting over 10 in a soft lip wheel

When I talked to the guy from intro, he had told me that the 18x10" actually measures 11 inches.

Gordz, see my post in your other thread; all wheels measure 1" wider.

Really? Eveytime I see prices from the company direct: Intro, Billet Specialties etc they are super expensive. I know a guy locally who bought a set of Intros 18/20's (twisted Vista's) with tires shipped to Hawaii for $2500! He doesn't have the contact anymore and eveytime I get a quote for wheels and tires it is well over $3000!:crying: The thing that really sucks is the shipping is always around $500 or more!

They were on ebay and apperently the dealer isn't very reliable. So I'm just gonna go with 18 all around

you can get wider than 10" with a fat lip design through Intro.
