ok guys I need a little help. were doing a frame off on a 59 impala.(huge car) any way were just about ready for paint. My questions lies on painting the trunk.Priming it has not been a problem by starting under the package tray and then the inner quarters and wheel housings then the inner tail panel, then removing the masking paper from the floor and spraying it last. This system will work for the basecoat but what about clear? Theres no way I could clear this monster from outside the car.Anyone ever paint one of theses land yachts.

If you can prime it, and you can base it, why couldn't you clear it?

You need a good set of long arms... :)

Any way you could get in there suspended? Like on a plank cantilevered from a stout work bench or fork lift. :dunno:

Do the sides and top first, wait a day or two, then do the floor.
