Will any radiator work in a LS1 swap or do I have to get a crossflow?

Stock rad works fine.

Any will work.. there are some packaging advantages to having both inlets on the right.. many guys make them that way at no additional cost.

Whats your budget?

Ha! .. I doubt that.. :)

Oh, if you look at a stock 4th gen f-body radiator you will see it's nothing fancy.. in fact you could use one just fine (with the fans). You just have to rig up a mounting system.

nah, i already have my big block setup with a howe radiator and dual fans - it will work perfectly.

If cooled the big block then it will cool the LSx motor :)

the hard part is running the upper radiator hose since it has to go from the far passengers side on the LSx to the far drivers side of the radiator.

Did you use temp sensors to run the fans? If so what temp? the LSx motors like a specific range to run thier best in.. too cool is bad for performance.

Dual temp controls. I've been penciling out the costs of installing a gen one 500 hp small block vs. 500 hp Lsx and I have seen the light. While I may throw in an additional $1k the fuel and weight savings plus the reliability of it will exceed it in every way.

I'd like to see your math on this if you don't mind sharing.

Steve, do you have any part numbers for the temp sensors for the radiator?

Thanks

Jan, I have an extra set from my Ron Davis setup that I won't be using. You can have them for free if you like.

A dual pass rad. Been thinking of using one in my Vega ( if I ever get that far ). The only thing that concerns me is the possibility of too much pressure build-up in the inlet tank. A dual pass effectively reduces the number of core tubes by half and doubles the length of the core tubes. Has anybody here used one before?
